THE WINE DESMOROSSO
DESMOROSSO BOLLICINE
PRESENTATION

Franciacorta is a unique land between Brescia and Lake Iseo on the border that separates the Po Valley from the Alps, where Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes are grown. The wines produced in this part of Italy are obtained through maturation and an elaboration of at least 25 months after the grape has been harvested; this consists of a slow refermentation in yeasts for a period of 24-36 months. After the refinement period (24-36 months) the bottles undergo remuage and degorgement with the addition of liqueur. Here is Desmorosso Bollicine, a rosé wine with amber colour hues that presents a nice bouquet as well as freshness and creaminess to the taste. It is a well structured wine, a top sparkling brut with notable persistence, character and a strong personality like the Ducati motorcycles, which, no matter what the outcome of a race, will always leave their tracks in the race course. A wine of such lineage cannot but be the result of human endeavour, which considers the cellar a harmonious place where tradition meets current knowledge, producing a wine that has no equal and is suitable for all courses, (except dessert). Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Nero (only brut type) Production technique: wine refermentation in bottles. After being in yeasts for a long period (24-36 months), the bottles undergo remuage and degorgement with the addition of liqueur. How to serve Desmorosso Bollicine: at a temperature not above 10°C, taking care to leave the bottle in the ice-bucket so that temperature can decrease by a further 6-7°C. It is a wine suitable for all courses, (except dessert).

LE PIGNOLE VINEYARD
Franciacorta is a wide hilly area in the province of Brescia, delineated by the rivers Oglio and Mella and Lake Iseo joining the Po Valley with the Alps. The hilly land guarantees a very favourable climate to grow the vine: the climate is in fact mild and pleasant. In Franciacorta you can enjoy amazing views and it is easy to find vineyards and olive groves surrounded by XVIII century villas, castles, towers and ancient monasteries. Franciacorta wine is the first sparkling wine to obtain the guarantee of origin (DOCG). Approximately 100 wine cellars produce the famous Bollicine following a unique ‘must’, which is that modern technology must serve tradition, in order to guarantee a top quality wine.
